I relaxed slightly as his eyes turned hazel again. "Are you okay?" It was a stupid question. Of course he wasn't.

I don't k ow what happened, but for some reason when I hand myself over to this thing inside of me, the pain stops." This alternate side of him was a demon. It had awoken by itself. It had been inside of him. Gaea just had awakened it. She hadn't created it.

I was silent, my mind spinning. "I..." I didn't know what to say to that. Was it possible that the thing inside was his other side? A darker opposite?

This wasn't a cheesy movie. He wasn't a character with an alter ego. It was himself that he was afraid. Of. Feelings that he had beforehand. Was it something to do with his past? Was that why his father kept his memories locked away? Because there was a side of him full of bloodlust? Shade looked at Caroline once. If that was so...he was a danger to everyone.
"Just stay away from me."
His voice is harsh, but he immediately regrets it.

I winced at his hard tone. Why was he like this, so mood changing all of a sudden? "It's good to have you back, Shade." I said silently. I turned and left for the Poseidon cabin.

Shade turns around to apologize, but she runs away too fast. He turns around and punches the tree again, ignoring the stab of pain that runs up his arm.
"You're such an idiot..." He tells himself. Jade was right. When he got confused, he hurt the one's around him.

Shade walked off into the woods. Maybe he could find something to do there to keep his mind off things. Terry would take care of Izumi. Shade couldn't even look at her without feeling a load of anger.
