(Lol, smart.) Jacob sat alone on his usual stone seat in the small clearing of the forest. He sighed. He wanted to talk to Ari. He got up, when he suddenly heard footsteps. As he saw the others pass, he grabbed someone's shoulder, not caring who's, and asked, "What's going on?"

Summer flinched, heart racing as someone grabbed her shoulder and spun her around. She almost sighed with relief as she realized it was just Jacob. Or Claycob. Whichever one. And not another monster.
"Ari's somewhere in this forest, and currently, we're being attacked a hellhound!" Summer jerked her shoulder away from Jacob/Claycob's grasp and turned to see Rachel pull out a sword from a tree. What the-? Why would a tree... It wasn't the time to worry about it right now.

Jacob winked at Rachelas she pulled the sword out. Once he heard that Ari was out there, in trouble, he was already running. He missed the part about the Hellhound. "Come on!"

"Jac-Claycob-person!" Summer finally managed. "Hellhound!"
The hellhound had had it's eyes fixed on the group of demigods, but as Jacob had started running, he had distracted it. With a growl, the beast leaped after Jacob with astounding speed, considering it's size.

As Jacob ran, he noticed the Hellhound. He swore loudly. He emidaitley took out his weapon. It changed. It was a long metal bar. Jacob jammed it into the ground, and swung to the top of it. As the hellhound charged by, he jumped on it's back. He twisted the bar, turning it into a sword. He grabbed onto the hellhound's bony shoulder blades, as he held on to it like a rodeo star.

Summer gaped at the crazy scene in front of her. Holy shit... How was that even possible? But it was. Jacob was riding a Hellhound. Summer knew that some kids of Hades could do it, but never this... Finally, Summer called out, "Jacob! Get off before it throws you off!"

Jacob was yelling, barley able to get any words out. "I...! Can't...! Do...! IT...!" He yelled as he tried to slash his head. Then he remembered training. There was a pressure point the couldn't stand. Jacob flung the sword and wrapped his leg around the beast's neck. As he locked his feet, he swung around, and rammed his fingers into a hollow spot in his neck. He slowed down a little. But he got angrier.

Ari was unsure of what to do. She had to leave, but she couldn't leave them like this. Pulled her bow and arrow from a strap on her back, and grabbed her knife, and with a snap of her fingers, the knife was on fire. She shot if at the hellhound from behind a tree. If it worked, and Jacob had enough common sense to jump, then they'd be fine. Without even checking for success, Ari jumped up on a branch, starting to climb the tree to get a better view.

Terry managed to catch up with them all just to pause in...awkwardness. Jacob was riding a hellhound that was bucking like a wild bull. Er... Terry noticed him jabbing at one of the hellhound's pressure point. Terry grinned and ran forward, making his way behind the bucking dog. He swung his staff into a nerve joint in the hind leg as hard as he could. There was a sickening thud, and the hound let out a pained yowl. Well, one leg was useless now.
The hellhound turned with pure hatred in its bloodred eyes at Terry, hobbling on three legs while still trying to get Jacob off. They didn't have time for this...

Jacob was shocked when the arrow hit the animal. And when Terry thwacked him hard. With the arrow, broken leg, and chocking, the beast finally lowered a bit. Jacob jumped off, banging his head, as the beast looked at Terry.

Sighing, Summer rushed forward and jumped in front of Terry, slashing at the hellhound's face. Summer just had to throw herself into a battle. She loved fighting, whether that sounded bad or not. The monster seemed a bit confused to see Summer jump in front of it, but snapped at her. At least Jacob had managed to jump off.

Terry stepped back to avoid sharp claws when Jacob had jumped off. He noticed he had hit his head. "You alright?" He called while blocking the beast's fangs with his staff. The hellhound got a grip and tried to jerk the staff from his hands. Terry flew after his staff. Aw, crap!
Terry was jerked from his weapon and sent rolling away. He sat up to see the hellhound spit out his staff like a toothpick. Stupid dog. Did he want to play catch?

I just was standing there. I mean, one second you're pulling a sword out of a tree, and the next your half-brother is riding a hellhound. I saw the hellhound look at Terry. I didn't know what to do, so I just stood there.

"Why no Paris Hilton," Jacob said, dizzy from the impact. "Of course your breasts don't look like pumpkins." He shook his head. He deducted a plan. "Terry! Throw the staff!"

"Give me a second!" Terry dove out of the way as the hellhound snapped for him again. He rolled back on his feet and the staff shimmered and reformed back into his hand. He looked at Jacob, kind of understanding, then hurled his staff as far and hard as he could. It sailed through the trees, shining bright golden.

(crap. sorry, I forgot.) I saw the staff flying closer to the hellhound. Even though the hellhound was evil, I couldn't help feeling sorry for it. I wondered what the hellhound was thinking right now.

As the staff went flying, the hellhound's eyes changed from that of a blood-thirsty killer, to a puppy's. He lept up into the air and grapped it with his dagger-sharp teeth. It reminded me of a dog fetching a stick. I would have laughed, had it not been for the blood oozing from my head. I groaned and watched the beast gnaw on the weapon.

Terry let out a small sigh and sat down for a break. He looked over at Jacob. "Wait...Ari! We're supposed to be following her!" He got up and his staff disappeared from the hellhound's mouth. Terry didn't like the beast chewing on it anyway. When it reappeared in his hands, the dog spit had been dropped away, thankfully. The hellhound was confused.
The moment it turned its head to growl at Terry, he swung down at the weak point of the skull. "Sorry." Then it melted into shadow. He didn't like taking lives of things, but it would reform. Plus, he needed his weapon. He looked back at all of them. "Are you all okay?"
