"Ari," said Jacob, choking up. "If that's what you want. But we all love yuo here, and you're always welcome back." He stood up and gained his footing.

"Why is it so hard to leave now?" Ari sighed, running her fingers through her now short hair. "I'll be back. I promise." She nodded, hugging Summer. "I love you, Jacob. Don't forget that. Kay'?"

Terry watched silently, a sad smile on his face. He felt like he was intruding. He let out a small sigh and decided to drop the smile. It was too hard to keep up because of the heavy atmosphere. His heart felt heavy as he watched Jacob and Ari. His half brother was going to have a hard time.

Jacob held Ari close for a moment. After whispering, "Thank you," he let go akwardly. "Good luck."

Summer stepped back after Ari hugged her to let Jacob and her have a last moment together. She watched them with sad eyes. She felt sorry for Jacob. He had liked Ari for what, a year now?

I sat off to the side, watching. Through my life, I had learned that there are times for talking and times for listening. Because talking is nice, but if you open your ears to somebody else, you can learn something about them. I realized that Ari had felt this way for a while. But she had been hiding it.

Terry stood for a while, slightly surprised. Then he smiled and hugged her back tightly. "We'll all miss you for sure." He said as he released her. "Come back some time too."
