"I swear on the Styx. I will rejoin you if you don't kill her." What was he saying? Why was he saying it? Summer hadn't done anything particularly good for him. Maybe he was just sick of seeing his mother kill people in front of him.

Gaea paused for a long time of silence. "My, you're so willing to give yourself up. You've changed, my son." Gaea looked at the soldiers to back off. "Go, Summer Anderson. Do not let me see you again. And my dear boy, you swore on the Styx. S I swear on the Styx that I will not kill her this one time if you work for me." There was a rumble in the distance, even thought there were no storm clouds. The deal had been struck.

"No!" But it was too late. He had sworn. For a moment, I considered on refusing to go, just to annoy her, but then thought better of it. I glanced at Krissie, then at Ace. I didn't know why he had done that, but... "I owe you big time." I told him.

I turned to face Krissie. "Leaving, I guess." I smiled sadly at her. "I hope we're on the same side someday."

With a last look at everyone there, I sprinted away. I guess I was going back to the camps.

"Now that that's finally over..." Gaea let out a sigh and turned back to Ace. "You, my dear son, need a lesson for leaving your own mother." A large lump of earth shot out and rammed itself into Ace's side, sending him flying back. The Earth goddes waved one hand to Krissie and the rest. "You are all dissmissed." Then she sank into the ground.

Krissie stood there, her mouth halfway open. She couldn't believe it. Then she vanished on spot.
(I thought Summer was leaving AFTER the final battle, FOR the final final battle?)

Ace didn't see it coming. He flew through the ari and slammed on the ground on his left arm. He heard a bone snap. He coughed and held his throbbing side. Jeez, he was glad to be back. He sat up slowly. His stupid arm was broken. He narrowed his eyes and stared at the ground. What had he done? How was he going to tell everyone back at camp?
