A normal day in camp meant a bright sunny day. The border didn't let anything else in. The treetops in the forest sway lightly in the slight breeze. They were a lush green color. Normally, there was nothing in the trees. But not today.
A figure in black and green perched on a high branch. His clothes blending him in with the shadows and leaves. His white and red mask covered his face. He hated the fact that when people saw him, they would exclaim "Ace! I thought you..died..." They would look like they had seen a ghost. That weakling. The first one. He didn't want to be recognized as him. That weakling that had died for a resister. They were all fools, letting their emotions get to them. Letting friendship make them weak. He wasn't like them. He would live and give no sacrifice.
He fingered the ace card in his hand. What was he doing here? He didn't get an order. He was simply here to watch their progress in rebuilding, maybe find some useful information. But for some reason, he wanted to come. Gaea hadn't ordered him to. He just...came.
The memory fragments from the first flashed through his mind. This was where he had wanted to come more than anything. And for some reason, the second had relented. This realization made him furious. His time was over! This was his mind now. He had no right to control it. The second brooded over the thought and tapped the edge of his mask, shoving the card into his pocket. Maybe he should leave now.

"I'm not even going to ask why you're here." Partially because she didn't care, partially because she was here as well, just because. Krissie's voice sounded from behind...whatever he wanted to be called. The second? Krissie was perched on a a branch of a tree just behind "Ace". Well, at least he was loyal now, and wasn't an idiot like...well, the first Ace. Who died. That's it. You go against Gaea, you die. Simple as that.
Krissie dangled her legs casually over the edge of the branch. She didn't care if she was caught. She'd either kill them, or teleport back to the remains of the Wolf House, or something. Besides, she sort of wanted to finish her battle with Jeremy, anyway.

"......" He didn't reply, he just sat, string out at the clearing of the camp. The people were still trying to fix their ruined camp. Why did they keep trying? It would be torn down again anyway. Krissie didn't surprise him, he had sensed her earlier on the tree behind him. He shifted in the high branch. Had she just come here to babysit him or something?he really didn't quite understand why she was here. And the fact that she didnt want to know why he had come was a relief to him.

He didn't reply, and Krissie hadn't really expected a response. Well, maybe a 'what are you doing here' or something, but he just seemed to be watching the clearing in camp. Krissie turnened her head slightly so she could clearly see all the cabins. Two girls were squabbling in the corner by the Aphrodite Cabin, some guy with a bloodied arm was being tended to by an Apollo kid just outiside the Infirmary, and anyone who wasn't badly hurt were trying to hastily repair camp.
Krissie smirked. Save it, she thought. We'll just tear it down again. She didn't say anything, just sat silently. Now that she thought about it, she didn't know why she was here. Well, she didn't care. Krissie caught sight of a few of her former friends talking, and scowled just slightly.

(I just feel like RPing in third person...)
"I'll get some vines for the Demeter cabin." Without waiting for a reply, she sprinted for the forest before someone could say that the Demeter kids could grow them. She just needed to get away from the camp for a while. Her favorite place to just think was the forest. Well, actually, it was the lake, but the water still was slightly tinted red, so the forest would just have to do.
Caroline slowed as she reached the edge of the forest. Some of the trees had stains on their trunks from the battle. Stepping over a log, she had only taken a few steps when she heard some leaves rustle. She was immediately on guard. It could have been a squirrel, but it was better to be safe than sorry. Ever since the second attack from Gaea's army, she had grown weary and tensed at the slightest sound. "Who's there?"

You could barely see his misty blue eyes through the slits in the mask. No one knew what he looked like. He hadn't shown his face to anyone but his mother. But they all knew that he was the second son of Gaea. And that he replaced him. The thought made him scowl behind the white mask. It was kind of a clay type of mask, but very light being made by his own hands from the white clay he had found in the ground. He looked around for a second before suddenly slipping down a few branches without warning. For some reason, he just felt like getting down under the trees.
It was something he liked again. Going under the shadows of the trees and just walking peacefully. It angered the second. It was like he had no will of his own. He liked what the first usually liked. The only thing that could tell the two apart was their eyes. And the fact that his favorite color was red, not green. His right arm held the same mark of Gaea. But it was red. A red flame. And it was on his right.
A girl's voice alarmed him. He had let his guard down thinking. He spiraled up to a higher branch in the foliage and melted halfway into the trunk. he blinked at the sight of her, a memory stinging him. Caroline Miller, daughter of Neptune. He had the urge to walk out and say hi. In frustration, he almost hit himself. This wasn't his will!

Krissie instantly recognized Caroline's voice. Krissie pulled her legs up. She'd been wearing camoflauge clothing, and blended in with the leaves pretty well. She didn't care if she was spotted, so didn't bother disappearing or whatever. She could see Caroline's blonde hair, and resisted the urge to say, "Oh, it's just me up here. Hi!" and wait for Caroline's reaction.

Caroline's eyes narrowed. No answer. "Hello?" she called, annoyance tinting her voice. She had heard something, she was sure of it... Or maybe it was just a squirrel... But she doubted it. She crossed her arms and tried again. "I heard you..." She hesitantly took a few more steps, looking around cautiously. Maybe it had been just a squirrel...

"You alright?" Shade jogged up to Caroline in the forest. He also heard a rustle and looked up. Some tree leaves moved. He looked at Caroline who seemed alert for some reason. He had come to help with the vines.

He didnt make one sound, hoping she would leave already. He blinked at the sight of another demigod that trudged in. Shade, son of Pluto. Without thinking, he had unmelted from the trunk. No! He didn't even know them! He just knew who they were. Yet why did he feel somewhat cheerful in seeing them? He wasn't paying close enough attention. The branch under him cracked and fell. He grabbed quickly and hung on to the branch above him, swinging back and forth. The branch below him crashed down. Oh crap...

Krissie flinched when the branch crashed to the ground. Crap. Now there was no doubts about it, a squirrel could definitely not do that, so Caroline and Shade would guess...and now there was a pretty visible guy dangling from a branch.

"Yeah, I'm alright..." Caroline immediately looked up as the branch fell down. Someone was hanging onto a branch. And he was...wearing a mask?

Krissie planted her face in her palm. Caroline had definitely seen him. But not Krissie, yet.

Shade jumped back, catching a glimpse of the dude that had caused the branch to come crashing down. Shade narrowed his eyes. And what the heck? Why was he wearing a mask? "Gaea's spies!" A bit of anger flared up in him and the tree the kid was on began to burn with a black flame that consumed the whole tree crackling quickly.

Idiot! He was an idiot! How had he been so careless? He held up his arms at the sudden flame. What kind of san person set up a person in flames out of nowhere? The tree crackled in the fire, and he narrowed his eyes in the heat. He had no choice. He leapt down to a lower branch of another tree, then t the ground so he wouldn't go burning down the whole forest. He stood there silently, regarding the two.

The leaves were on fire of the tree next to Krissie, and the fire from the tree quickly spread to the tree she was perched on. Krissie jumped off the branch and landed easily on her feet. She straightened up, now in full view of Caroline and Shade, and said in a cool voice, "Nice going. I thought you wimps didn't kill?" She was referring to the tree, and the dryad who was now...well, dead.

Caroline's eyes widened as she recognized Krissie, her sort of half sister. "Krissie, and..." Her gaze shifted to the guy wearing a mask. "...someone. What are you doing here?"

Krissie wasn't about to admit she didn't know why she was here at all. (WHY CAN'T SUMMER BE HERE?! IT WOULD BE ALL...DRAMA-ISH AND STUFF.) Instead, she just shrugged and said, "I don't explain myself to idiots who think they can actually win against Gaea."

(lol, sure.) Summer raised an eyebrow as Caroline ran off. She was about to remind that the Demeter kids could make those, but she had already left. A moment later, Shade followed her. She decided to follow them as well, but from a distance. Then some kid dropped from a tree next to them. Her eyes narrowed. Who was this guy? Then a girl appeared next to them. Summer's eyes widened. Krissie! Summer put on a burst of speed and skidded to a stop next to the unusual group.
