Shade put her down after twirling her once, remembering that they were in front of Summer and Krissie. He felt slightly embarrassed. He ruffled the little girl's hair and looked up.
"So, what's up?"

Krissie watched the scene coldly and shrugged at Shade's question. "Nothing." What she really meant, though, was-'I'm watching Jade to make sure she's loyal'.

Izumi fidgeted uncomfortably until Shade put a hand on her shoulder. He smiled with a small laugh to try and lighten the mood. "She's just eleven, you know, she gets nervous easily."
Izumi shot a glare at him. "I do not!" But she did. Oh well.

"I just brushed my hair!" Izumi complained, batting at his hand.

Izumi finished tidying her hair. She stuck her tongue out at Shade, making a face. Shade just smiled back. Izumi looked at Su,,er, then Krissie cautiously. "Um, is there anything we need to do for Lady Gaea today, De Arimasu?"

"Training. We need to beat the camps. No, we already will beat the camps, but it would feel much better for them to have failed miserably." I laughed at the thought.

Shade quickly avoided Izumi's eyes as Summer said this. If he did, it would make them suspicious. Because he was sure Izumi's eyes would be filled with dread, and he would return it. He wasn't going to blow her cover.
"Right, training. So now? All four of us?"
Izumi~ She kept a calm face, glad that Shade hadn't looked at her, or else she would have looked worried for her camp. So she nodded and looked up at Summer, her eyes echoing Shade's questions.

Shade pointed to the clearing to the side of the Wolf House. Why not?
"Are we supposed to split into pairs or what?"

Krissie smirked. "In a real battle, you probably won't be fighting only one person. There's likely going to be one person on one side, another on the other, and a monster somewhere nearby." She grinned wickedly. "I say three against one, and we rotate."

Shade blinked at her suggestion. What she said was true.
"It's fine by me..."
Izumi slowly nodded. "Who's gonna go first?"

Krissie smiled sweetly. "Youngest first, darling." Actually, that way Krissie would end up second to last, Summer being only a few days older than her.

Shade looked at Izumi. In truth, he had never seen her fight. Three against one to her? She was so small though. The look Izumi gave Shade made him back off.

Izumi nodded, unsheathing her long bladed Katana. One side was harmless. The Katana only had one bladed side, like all the others. For someone small like her, when she clashed blades, she could push back with her other hand on the non bladed edge for strength.
"Shouri Jinsoku." Izumi twirled her sword once. A ripple of golden light flashed from her blade as it spun a full circle once. The blade's name meant swift victory. As a daughter of Nike, she had no powers except for just this one. Good luck was in her side in this battle. It only increased chances and probability of winning. And the spell cast from her sword intimidated the opponents somewhat. It was the only power she had, and it usually didn't help much.

"Alright then."
Shade looked at her determined eyes. He liked that look. His two swords in their sheathes appeared in the air. He no longer needed to summon them by name. He took the short sword out and then the long double edged one. A black fire lit on the edges of the blades. It was by Summer or Krissie's signal that they would start.

I nodded, but I was a bit worried for Jade. She was only 11...Maybe I should go easy on her? I drew my knife. I held up fingers behind my back. Three. Two. One. I faked a blow at her stomach. At the last second, I straightened and slashed at her throat.

Shade sprang to her side as Summer took the front. He slashed with his left hand at her side.
Izumi's eyes flashed once, in training mode. They had done group fighting before at the dojo. This was similar, but with real weapons. She was somewhat worried about Shade because he had two swords. But experience could rule over that. She decided to worry more about Summer and Krissie. She flipped backwards as Summer charged forward. She ducked low as Summer slashed for her head. Then she blocked Shade's strike with the back of her Katana. The end of the hilt. Then she turned and slashed it in a circle at Shade's stomach.

I blinked. Not bad for her age... I started slashing at her repeatedly, keeping my guard up. My eyes told Shade to attack from her back so she couldn't step back.

Shade moved back, her blade swinging past his stomach. He let out a small sigh. She was pretty good. When Krissie joined in, she wasn't going to hold out for long though. He nodded to Summer. He began to back off, making his way to her back.
Izumi noticed. She swung out, blocking every attack from Summer. Then she flipped backwards suddenly. She landed and slid backwards on the grass, holding out her sword in an offensive stance. Shade was in front of her closest as she charged forward to slash out at him. As he raised his left sword to block her attack, she dropped her Katana into her left hand, swiping her right empty hand in front of his face as a distraction. Then she swipes her Katana at his stomach which was now in her left.
Shade blinked in surprise and raised his right sword to block the complicated attack.
