Izumi woke up in her bed, remembering everything from two days before. She had become a spy. She was faking joining Gaea, and she would strike when the defenses were down. Sending iris messages back to camp was too risky. Then she had trained. They wanted to see her skill. Then she had met with her brother again....
No..Izumi turned her head, rubbing her eyes. She slipped her hand out from another. She remembered that her brother had put her to sleep because she was tired. But she didn't want him to leave her again. She spotted Shade dozed off in a chair next to her bed. He was the one she had mistaken for her older brother. He had promised to be like her older brother, protect her.
Izumi felt like crying. The fact that he had slept all night next to her in a chair because she didn't want him to let go of her hand proved that he had told the truth. Shade really was a kind person.
"Nii-San..." Izumi sat up in her bed. Calling out what she always called her brother.

Shade had fallen asleep. In a chair. Holding a little girl's hand. He didn't know her well. He found out her name yesterday. She was small. He had promised to be like her brother because she had been so sad about it. Her voice jolted him awake immediately from his nightmares. His hazel eyes were startled at her call.
Shade didn't mind her calling him that. He guessed it meant brother in Japanese. He yawned, stretching. Izumi had let go his hand. He remembered that she had refused to let go. "Don't go..." Now Shade knew what it was like having a little sister so much younger than you. Or, as close as a little sister could get...
"Morning, Izumi."
Shade smiled. He studied her sleepy face. He brushed aside her messy bangs that were usually tied back. Now they were tangled from rolling around at night.

Izumi smiled at his gentle voice, "Morning, Nii-San." She rubbed her eyes and yawned, looking around. It was morning. Maybe someone else she could talk to would walk along. It wasn't until Shade brushed back her bangs that she realized her hair was probably a mess. "I'm going to get ready. Don't you have stuff to do?" She raised an eyebrow at Shade. Surely soldiers of Gaea had duties to take care of.

"No, not really. I'll leave so you can get ready. I'm going outside. If you need anything, just call, you know."
Shade nodded at the little girl and pulled his hand back. She was so small. Really, almost like a little sister.

Izumi nodded as Shade left. She wanted to sleep some more, but she decided not to. She slipped out of bed and freshened up. Washed her face, brushed her teeth, put on her clothes, and brushed her tangled hair. When she finally got all the knots out, she walked into the clearing where the Wolf House. She looked around. Today's goal was to meet new people.

Krissie didn't trust new recruits, ever. She even had a hard time believing Summer was really going to join for awhile, too. It was hard, but eventually new recruits earned Krissie's respect-meaning, she didn't follow them around all the time. Just some of the time.
Right now she was leaning against the crumbled wall of the Wolf House, like she had when Jade first came, watching the eleven year-old girl with narrowed eyes. She was practically invisible, wearing black jeans and a black long-sleeved shirt that blended in with the dark shadow she was in pretty well. Her hair fell in loose curls just above her waist.

Immediately, Izumi sensed a presence. She had been trained as a little girl. But mostly because she caught the tip of a shoe peaking from behind a shadow. "Um...may I help you, De Arimasu?" Her voice was timid, wondering who it was.

Krissie shook her head just slightly so her hair covered her eyes, then waved her hand. The shadow of the Wolf House promptly vanished, leaving the black clothed Krissie clear as daylight. Well, she had dark red boots on with a knife at the tip but other than that...
You know what, nevermind.
"Nah," Krissie said curtly as an answer to Jade's question.

Jade recognized the girl from the other day that had trained her. "Um, thank you for training me the other day, De Arimasu." She bowed in greeting to Krissie.

Krissie really didn't get what 'De Arimasu' meant and it was getting on her nerves. She didn't say so, though, just plastered on a fake smile and nodded. "No prob."

"Um..." Izumi trailed off, not knowing what to say next. Her shy personality caused her to panic as usual. "Who is your godly parent?" Izumi could tell her accent and the habit of adding the phrase was annoying Krissie, so she tried with all her will not to add it. It felt odd. She asked Krissie curiously, she wanted to know.

As I was making my way back from the training area to my tent, I heard voices. I recognized one as Krissie's. As I turned the corner, I saw Krissie talking with some younger girl, and Shade. I purposely stepped on a twig to let them acknowledge my presence.

Jade turned around, after spotting Summer, she bowed quickly with a smile. "Good morning, De Arimasu." Ugh. She said it again. Felt like slapping herself.
