I blocked his attack, then stepped forward so I could get closer, and sliced at Shade's arm. Ugh. Where was Krissie in all of this?

Krissie randomly [because I dunno where anyone is] lashed at Shade's side. Then she ducked out of range before spinning back around to slash his back.

Shade turned, blocking her slash with his left sword. It was convenient with this dual swords style. It was meant for battling more than one person.

Izumi flipped backwards, snatching her sword from the ground. She jumped forward to slash at Shade's head.
Shade ducked Izumi and sighed as all of them attacked.
"My, this is busy, isn't it? How did you do this without powers, Izumi?"
He smiled playfully, jumping back. He held out a hand and the earth beneath them shook once in a growl. Then black flames erupted and crackled in front of them. Snakes formed by the fire snapped out at them.

I jumped out of the way as the fiery snake pounced at me. "Krissie, extinguish it!"

Oh yeah. He had forgotten that she was a daughter of Poseidon. He waved his arms and the snakes morphed into sparrows. Flaming birds with great detail. The black fire rippling in the wind. They swooped individually at them, flying around at high speed to avoid getting sprayed by water. Shade was concentrating really hard to keep them moving.

Krissie pointed her hand at one bird as it was diving at her and it promptly froze. No, literally. It turned to ice and then cracked apart.

Shad narrowed his eyes, the sparrows of flame swooping around. He would take care of Krissie without powers. He should let his powers occupy Izumi and Summer. Shade sprang forward, slashing with both swords at Krissie in a whirlwind of blades.

I cursed at the birds. Great. I ducked as one dived down at me. A strand of my hair caught on fire. I used my knife and cut that part off.

Izumi rolled to the side, a bird swooping past. So this was what it was like to have nice powers...
Shade waved his hand. The birds crossed in a complicated pattern then split to attack Summer and Jade evenly.

"Damn..." I ducked and rolled as birds dove at me. My sleeve caught on fire. "Ow, f-" I ripped that part out and stamped it out on the ground. There was a red burn on my arm. I winced. I hate fire.

Krissie blocked most of Shade's blows, and the few that hit didn't make any really bad injuries. She then waved her arm lazily and a cloud formed just above Shade's head. It would stick with him for the rest of this training session. Suddenly the cloud above Shade crackled and started dumping rain, hail, and snow on him.

Another bird flew by, missing me by a couple centimeters. I backed into a tree. A bird flew right at me. I rolled out of the way as the tree was set ablaze.

"What in the? Ack!"
Shade covered his head as precipitation of all kinds rained down on him.
"Jeez, you people are truly terrifying..."
He rolled backwards away from Krissie. The cloud followed him. His clothes were all wet. Cold. Shade tried waving his sword into the cloud, but it didn't work very well. He slammed his hands into the ground and a wall of black rock curved itself over him to block off the rain. His body lit with black flames, drying himself off instantly.

Krissie frowned at that. She turned the precipitation into a bomb. She tried to blast the rocks open.

I watched Krissie and Shade with amusement. The cloud thing was nice. I leaped to the side as a bird came hurtling towards me.

"That's impressive."
Shade noted as he rolled to the side. The bombs shattering his wall of black obsidian. He turned and threw one of his swords into the cloud. The flaming blade lit up with black fire, evaporating the cloud into vapor. The bombs and rain stopped. Shade let out a small breath.
"Thought I was going to die."
He muttered before turning back to Krissie.
Izumi jumped to the side to avoid a flaming sparrow. Then she slashes down at it to test it out. In her surprise, it disperses. If she's able to catch them at such a high speed, she can destroy them. "Summer! You can hit these! Shade doesnt have enough concentration to reform them!"

I stared at her for a moment. I stepped out of the way as a flaming bird flew at me. Then I swung my knife. It disappeared. I looked at her with wide eyes. "Jade, you're a genius!"
